Alex1England U18 and Myerscough point guard Alex Roberts left last summer’s #DENGTOP50 camp to go onto a very successful season.

Roberts helped lead Myerscough to victory in all competitions they were entered into over the 2014/15 season and now returns to #DENGTOP50 ahead of his final season at Myerscough next year.

Roberts reflected upon his first experience at DENGTOP50 last season and how it helped with a very successful year in basketball.

“I had a very good experience last year, it was my first time at the camp so I really took the opportunity to play against the top players in the country. It was good, as well, to get different styles of coaching from the great coaches that are on the camp.”

“Last season we won every title that we could win, including the EABL Final so it was a good year. I learn a lot throughout the season working with Coach Neil Hopkins and really improved my game physically, mentally and technically.”

Roberts led the England U18 team this summer in his first European Championship experience, helping with his confidence going into this year’s #DENGTOP50

Alex2“This summer I have been with the England U18 and went to my first European Championships. It was another really great experience and a really good chance to see what the latent is like across Europe and see where I sit in comparison to that level.

“Last time I was here I felt like I was just lucky to be there but this year I feel like I belong here so I really want play well and achieve the highest rank that I can. I am going to take as much as I can from all the different coaches on the camp and take as much as possible into next season to keep improving.”

Roberts was named as the #2 draft pick in the #DENGTOP50 team selections and will look to continue to build his name as rankings begin later in Day 2.
