2016 camper and Leeds Force product Jaka Pandza has joined The Kiski School for the 2017-18 season.

The 6ft 7″ Forward comes off a solid campaign in the EABL for Allerton posting season averages of 12.4 PPG, 4.9 RPG & 1.3 APG. We caught up with Jaka to find out more on his move to the USA.

“I knew Kiski School was the right place for me during my visit in February. After speaking with Head Coach Damien Williams, I saw the same compassion and dedication for his players as Matt Newby had with my team at Leeds Force back in England. I could tell that Coach Williams could help me evolve as a player and that played a huge factor in my selection.”

“My specific basketball aims while I’m here are to become a smarter, faster and more of a skilled perimeter player, all while earning a few titles with the rest of the Kiski Cougars.”

Jaka wanted to ensure to thank those who helped him on his journey.

“First of all I’d like to thank my teachers and my class mates back in England, as they kept me motivated throughout the seasons to not only excel in basketball but also in school. Next I’d like to thank Matt Newby for his selfless sacrifice and dedication to my team throughout the season. But most of all, my thanks goes out to my mother, father and brother.

“My mother who introduced me to the game I live and breathe today. My father who instilled in me a passion to excel in academics. And my brother for always being by my side and expecting nothing in return. I couldn’t have done any of this without them. Also attending DENG camp in 2016 helped me to get used to the intensity of the USA camps and showcase events.”

I’m looking forward to the season here in the States and I will continue to make everyone back home proud.”

We want to wish Jaka all the success at Kiski.
