Joe Junior Mvuezolo will be crossing the pond to play for JuCo Miami Dade for the 2014-15 season.

The 6’4″ wing has been a key part of Barking Abbey’s programme for the past two seasons, suiting up for Medway Park Crusaders in Division 1 last season, while also representing his country internationally, playing for the Great Britain Under-20s this summer as the youngest player on the squad.

“It is great that Joe Junior has managed to take up his offer from Miami Dade for the upcoming season,” said Lloyd Gardner, Barking Abbey’s Director of Basketball Operations.

“Joe has developed tremendously in the time he has spent with us and has worked tirelessly to develop both his skill set and understanding of the game.

“If he continues to improve at the same rate, I know that Miami Dade will be an excellent fit to help him achieve his goal of an NCAA Division One scholarship. We at Barking Abbey wish Joe Junior all the best for the future.”

Miami Dade went 21-10, 7-5 in the Southern Conference last season, which marked the return of the Sharks to the FCSAA State Tournament for the first time since 2009.

From everyone at DENG Camp, we want to wish Joe Junior all the success in the USA.
