Moses Byekwaso was named #1 at this year’s #DENGTOP50 after initially joining the camp as a reserve.

The athletic guard proved that he belonged among the best players in the country after producing consistent strong performances across the four day performance camp.

Moses averaged 19.7 points per game off of 49% shooting including 44% from 3-point range to go along with 4.3 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game in just 26 minutes on running clock action.

MosesBackBackByekwaso was pleased with the ranking following a hectic summer of workouts to try and ready himself for the level of the camp and next season with Preston College.

“I am happy. I only really expected to sit somewhere in the top 15 and I was happy to make the Allstar game but I think my handwork this off-season and in preparation for the camp helped me end up as number one.”

The announcement of the final rankings was followed by the #DENGTOP50 Allstar Game in front of a busy crowd at Crystal Palace National Sports Centre. In the showcase event of the camp, Byekwaso quickly set to work on affirming the decision to be named as #1, playing well to help his team to a single point victory in overtime.

“The Allstar game was a lot of fun. I felt we had a talented team and it is great to end the camp with a win.”

MosesActionThe number one ranking will no doubt be enjoyed by the young guard however it will change very little ahead next season with Preston College. Byekwaso is focused to continue working out ahead of the season beginning.

“I am now going to keep working individually until I go back to Preston in a couple of weeks where I want us to win every competition we are in.”

Moses Byekwaso and the other four Top 5 players on the camp underwent a full array of media work following the Allstar game including a photoshoot with Phillip Haynes.
