We turn our attention to finalising the player rankings from those that attended last summers camp for the 2016/17 season.

TOP 5

RJ Eytle-Rock stays as the #1 ranked player after a very strong season with Barking Abbey, Kent Crusaders and the GB U20 Men’s Squad securing promotion to Division A winning Bronze Medal at the European Championship. Eytle-Rock closed out the season as EABL Playoff Winner, NBL Division 2 Winner with 21 points in the Final topped off by a solid campaign for Great Britain U20’s with 8.7 ppg & 3.0 apg in 25 minutes per outing.

We have a new #2 ranked player with Kayne Henry moving up one place after leading St Charles to the ABL Playoff Championship as well as being the star player for GB’s U18 Men team. Henry helped secure promotion to Division A being crowned silver medalists after making the All-Tournament Team with 14.8 ppg & 6.3 rpg.

A new player into the Top 5 is Amin Adamu who finishes the 2016/17 season being ranked #3 after a breakout season at Barking Abbey. The athletic guard has been unstoppable in the EABL posting a league high 21.9 ppg and a key figure in NBL Div 2 winning multiple championships this season. Adamu also received his first ever international caps for Great Britain U20’s where he didn’t disappoint showing his talent worldwide averaging 9.4 ppg.

MOVERS & SHAKERS

Romario Spence moves up 3 places to be ranked #16 after finishing the season strong being a key figure in Charnwood making the EABL Playoff Final but more noticeable for Great Britain U18 being one of the most consistent players to gain promotion. Spence put up solid numbers of 8.8 ppg & 9.0 rpg which was topped off by finishing the tournament with back to back double doubles catapulting the team to a silver medal.

The only new addition to the Top 20 is Sam Van Oostrum who lands at #20 following a strong finish in the EABL for Itchen College and NBL Division 1 Solent Kestrels. Van Oostrum landed back to back EABL player of the week awards and finished the season averaging very impressive numbers of 16.1 ppg, 7.1 rpg & a league high 5.4 apg. This led to him receiving a USA scholarship to NCAA D2 Franklin Pierce.
