Current #5 ranked Ariel John Edu has been invited to the Basketball Without Borders global camp taking place from 16-18 February in Los Angeles.

Edu is the only UK based player who will attend the fourth annual BWB Global Camp next weekend, which is a joint venture of the NBA and FIBA seeing 43 prospects ranging in age from 16 to 18 and from 36 countries.

The campers will get measured, undergo athletic testing, practice, scrimmage and conduct drills under the watchful eyes of representatives of all 30 NBA teams at the Los Angeles Lakers’ practice facility.

Participants will also attend daily seminars for life skills and take in the Rising Stars challenge, dunk contest, 3-point shootout and All-Star Game at Staples Center.

We got a chance to check in with AJ on his thoughts ahead of the prestigious camp.

“I feel really excited and thankful for the opportunity to be at a camp with some of the best prospects, players and coaches in the world. It will give me a chance to measure myself against some really talented players and I really look forward to that.”

“I expect it to be very intense and competitive as everyone there will be trying to prove themselves similair to the competitivness at Deng Camp”

“My goal is just to take advantage of the opportunity to excel my Basketball. Learn from coaches, current NBA players and other players at the camp to better understand what it takes to make it to that level.”

From everyone at DENG Camp we want to wish AJ all the success at the camp.
