by #DENGTOP50 2016 camper Oliver Dykes has signed his first professional contract with Martinez Valls in Spain for the 2017/18 season.
The 7ft 2″ Centre is a product of Kent Crusaders and will be competing in the Primera Division Nacional. Over his 3 years as a beginner, Dykes has progressed through the u16s, u18s and NBL4 Men as well as playing a key role for Canterbury in the EABL.
Dykes, who averaged 4.3 point s and 4.6 rebounds in the EABL last year is excited to get started in Spain.
“I’m glad to be given this massive opportunity thanks to Crusaders and their coaching staff. I signed with Martinez Valls as it is the right step for my career and is the right level to compete at in my rookie season. I’m looking forward to learning a new language, learning a different style of basketball and playing at this level.”
