Jake Notice and Bruce Adjei have both signed athletic scholarships to continue their playing careers in Canada.

SGS College students and Bristol Flyers Academy products Adjei, who joined the club at under-14 level, has signed with Bishop’s University, whilst Notice has committed to MacEwan University after making five appearances in the BBL for the Flyers last season.

“I’m very excited to have signed with MacEwan University,” Notice said.

“I’ve played my whole career in Bristol, so I’m looking forward to the experience of playing in a new country. Being able to train and play with the BBL squad and having a coach like Andreas Kapoulas (also the Great Britain Under-20s coach) endorsing you, has really helped make this possible.”

Adjei was given the chance to visit his new college and was very impressed with the facilities on offer.

“I went to see the college in February and the facilities were amazing,” he said.

“I had a good conversation with my new head coach Rod Gilpin and he said he really likes my athleticism and wants me to bring a lot of energy to the team this season.”

Notice and Adjei will both link up with their new team-mates at the end of the month as they prepare to compete in the Canadian Interuniversity Sport league (CIS) for the 2016/17 season.

From everyone at DENG Camp, we want to wish both Bruce and Jake all the success in the Canada.
