Kyle Carey has left the University of Northern Colorado transferring to Barry University to finish his collegiate career on a full athletic scholarship.

The #1 ranked player of the 2015 camp played his freshman year at the NCAA DI program averaging 2.5 PPG & 1.4 RPG in 9 minutes per outing where he made the decision to join Barry as a better fit.

We got a chance to catch up with the talented 6ft 6″ Guard to find out more about his move and his upcoming goals.

“The opportunity to compete for a national championship was a big factor,” Carey said

“They have x7 Division 1 transfers on the roster including myself so I’ll be around players who are in a similar situation which makes for a good environment. I also got to visit Barry before committing which was important so I got a good feel for the school and coaches beforehand.”

“My goal is to win a National Championship & that is the coaches goal also so there will be a winning mentality throughout my years here.”

Carey will also be joining fellow alumni camper and British player Evan Walshe at Barry University.

“Playing with fellow Brits Evan (& Theo Turner) will be a lot of fun, we’re all excited to play with each other as this is probably the most Brits on one college team in the states which is an good opportunity to do something special and represent UK hoops.”

From everyone at DENG Camp we want to wish Kyle all the success in his future at Barry University.
