Current #6 ranked Amin Adamu has signed to Western Wyoming Community College on a full athletic scholarship for the 2016-17 season.

Adamu is coming off a break out season at Barking Abbey being voted the EABL East Conference Player of the Year, helping lead Abbey to the EABL championship with a perfect undefeated season, along with partner club Kent Crusaders to the NBL Division 2 League and Playoff Title.

“I feel that Wyoming will be a great fit for me,” Adamu said.

“I’ve spoken to players that have previously attended Western Wyoming and it’s been nothing but positive feedback, the coaching staff are very welcoming and I’m looking forward to the plans they’ve got for me next season.

“I would like to thank my coach Lloyd Gardner, my family, and also my friends who helped me through this process.”

He joined Barking Abbey this season for a prep year after originally coming through the City of London Academy/Peckham Pride programme where he led the EABL in scoring at 21.9 points, added 4.6 rebounds, 1.8apg and 2.7spg, finished third in efficiency rating, and was second in the league in free throw shooting (81.3%).

He also led the league in true shooting percentage at 65.6% and 2PT FG% at 65.9%, whilst finishing fifth in 3 point shooting at 37.5%where it’s widely expected he will see his first National Team experience this summer with a call up to the Great Britain Under-20 programme.

We want to wish Amin all the success in his future at Western Wyoming.
