Last years #15 ranked and Derby Trailblazer product Adria Amabilino-Perez has signed for a prep year at Hotchkiss School in Connecticut.

The 6ft 7″ Wing comes off a very productive year in the EABL and NBL D1 posting season stats of 13.4 PPG & 5.3 RPG. The athletic and versatile player will join Hotchkiss for a prep year to gain more NCAA exposure.

“It has been a great two years in Derby but this year I have decided to come to the US and attend the Hotchkiss School where I want to thank everyone that has helped me this couple of years. Special thanks to the coaches I have had: Matt, Bowen, Phil, Kyle, Simon, Michael and all the members of the club and support staff like Jill, Stuart, Nigel, Alan, Maria and Steve.”

Amabilino-Perez is thankful for Derby and up for the new challenge in the USA.

“Also a huge thanks to all the supporters coming to the games, and to all the players I have been with who have pushed me, taught me and made me a better player. You have all been really welcoming since I came and I have really enjoyed playing with the Blazers.”

“Playing in the States is a big challenge and opportunity for me and I thank you all for the great time I have spent in Derby.”

We want to wish Adria all the success at Hotchkiss School.
