2017 UK updated Player Rankings

Check out the re-rankings of the Top 20 players for the 2017 UK camp as the season heads into the playoffs.

TOP FIVE
We have a new number one as Caleb Fuller takes the leading ranking spot after putting in an eye-opening second half to the season. He comes in as the 6th top scorer in NBL D1 posting 18.6 PPG as well as showing his dominance of the EABL leading Barking Abbey to a Playoff Championship and MVP Performance with 18 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists.

Sesan Russell took on a heavy load this season being the lead player for Loughborough Student Riders in NBL D1 where he didn’t disappoint as they were crowned League Champions moving him up to the #2 ranked spot. Russell comes off a solid campaign posting 13.3 PPG, 4.0 RPG & 2.8 APG going into the Playoffs as well as being crowned EABL West Conference Player of the Year.

Jumping up one spot to #4 is Ariel John Edu after a dominant EABL season. Edu was named in the All-First Team as well as Defensive Player of the Year ranking #1 in efficiency (26.4), #1 in rebounds (14.7 RPG), #1 in blocks (2.7 BPG) and the third leading scorer with 18.6 PPG. Add being the only UK based player to get an invite to the NBA Global BWB camp and it’s been quite a second half to the season for him.

MOVING UP
Arguably putting in the strongest second part of the season has been Konrad Kantorski who jumps up to be the #10 ranked player after leading the way for Myerscough College posting 17.1 PPG, 3.9 RPG & 5.2 APG. In the second half of the season he led his team to the NBL Div 3 League and National Shield Championships picking up MVP Honours as well as getting to the EABL Playoff Finals posting a game high 26-points.

Jonathan Brown continues to climb the rankings to #12 after firmly being the lead player for Canterbury in the EABL posting 17.1 PPG, 6.2 RPG & 4.5 APG being named EABL East Conference Player of the Year. Brown also poured in a team high 18.4 PPG for Kent Crusaders in NBL D4 to land in 4th place.

Another player making a big jump is Eisley Swaine taking the #13 spot after putting in a fine second half of the season in NBL D1 averaging a near double double since January of 12.6 PPG & 9.3 APG for Bradford Dragons. Swaine has also continued to torch the ABL as the 3rd leading scorer (28.6 PPG) and #1 in assists (7.6 APG) resulting in being awarded the Northern Conference Player of the Year.

NEWCOMERS
Patrick Lanipekun joins the Top 20 becoming the #18 ranked player following a very strong season leading City of London Academy to 3rd place in the EABL posting 13.5 PPG, 4.4 RPG & 2.8 APG. He is also averaged a team high 18.6 PPG in NBL D3 for Southwark Pride.

Another newcomer is Tunde Oyerinde who comes in as the #20 ranked player after being the anchor man for Canterbury High School in their best EABL season landing in 2rd place on a very efficient 15.6 PPG, 7.0 RPG & 52.5 FG%. Oyerinde was selected to the EABL All-Second Team as well as posting a solid 14.6 PPG in NBL D4 for Kent Crusaders.
