DENG Camp USA alumnus Yor Anei has just put in an incredible Freshman season for Oklahoma State University.

The 6’10” Forward was one of the nation’s elite shot blockers ranking seventh in the NCAA and second among all freshmen with 2.7 blocks per game.

Anei tied the school record for single-season blocks with 85, which had stood since 2002-03. He blocked 13.7 percent of opponent 2-point shots while he was on the floor, which is the fourth-best block percentage in the country and the best by any Freshman.

If you think this is impressive, there is more from Yor’s season.

Anei won Big 12 Newcomer of the Week honors on March 11 for his eight-block performance against West Virginia, which broke his own OSU freshman record and tied for the second most ever by a Cowboy. It was the most blocks by a Big 12 player this year and ranks 15th all-time in conference history.

He also posted nine four-block games in 2018-19, which tied him with Bryant Reeves for the fifth most ever by a Cowboy in their career. To top off his Freshman season over the final three games of the season, Anei averaged 15.7 points, 8.3 rebounds, 7.0 blocks and shot 70.4 percent from the floor.

What an amazing start to Yor’s collegiate career where we wish him all the continued success at OSU.
