2015/16 #17 ranked and Barking Abbey product Obi Agu has signed with Western Wyoming College for the 2017-18 season.

The 6’5″ Forward averaged 9.9 PPG, 6.3 RPG and 1.5 SPG in the EABL last season and represented the Great Britain Under-20s at the Division B European Championships this summer being crowned Bronze medalists gaining promotion to Division A.

BA’s Head Coach, Lloyd Gardner is thrilled for Obi and puts it down to hard work.

“I’m delighted for Obi, that he’s able to continue his basketball career moving onto the US where there hasn’t been many players that have maximised their ability coming through our programme the way Obi has. He’s been one of the hardest workers that we’ve had in his three years with us.”

Agu will be joining fellow ex-Abbey teammates and camp alumnus Amin Adamu and Calvin Nevill-Kintu who are both on the upcoming Mustang’s roster.

We want to wish Obi all the success at Western Wyoming.
