2016 and 2017 camper, Morgan Carter from Charnwood College has committed early to the University of the Cumberlands on a full athletic scholarship.

The 6ft 7″ Forward and Wales International will be attending the NAIA Division I programme that competes in the Appalachian Athletic Conference. Last season, Carter was a key factor in making it all the way to EABL Playoff Finals averaging 13.6 PPG & 6.8 RPG on 60.8 FG%.

Carter is currently sitting as the #11 ranked player and is excited to head over to the USA next year to compete in the NAIA.

“I’m very excited to join the Patriots family next season. They recruited me really well and made me feel like I will be a big part of their future. It is for sure the right fit for me as a player!”

“Of course I want to thank my family, especially my mum, for being there with me from Day One. Also want to say a huge thank you to Jason Merchant, Ed Piggford, Josh Merrington and many other coaches for helping me become the player I am today and helping me get here.”

We want to wish Morgan all the success at Cumberlands.
