Current ranked #11 James Lloyd has committed to Northern Iowa Area Community College (NIACC) for the 2016-17 season.

The 6’3 guard was the EABL’s leading scorer, averaging 22.2 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3 assists per game. He was also 4th in the league in steals and 7th in free throw percentage on his way to being named first team All-Conference in the East Conference.

We got a chance to catch up with James and his thoughts about joining the Trojans.

“To receive this scholarship I’m very proud of myself for the work I’ve put in, and with this it’s only making me ambitious for the future. My goals are to make a positive impact on the team and help them win as much as possible in any way I need to, as well as to develop myself to the next level.”

Lloyd was quick to express how important this is not just for him but also other UK players.

“I feel that it’s vitally important that UK players take their talents to the USA because it’s not only a once in a lifetime experience but it’s the highest possible stage that you can play on. This can only mean that you are going to improve an develop, whilst experiencing spine thing that will be unforgettable.”

From everyone at DENGTOP50, we want to wish James all the success in the USA.
