2017 camper, Alex Ferguson and current Barking Abbey athlete has committed to Fresno Pacific University on a full athletic scholarship.
The 6ft 8″ Forward and Scotland International will be attending the NCAA Division II programme that competes in the Pac West Conference.
Ferguson made his debut at the camp this summer and showed a whole array of skills where he is excited to head out to the USA next year to keep learning.
“I aim to grow and develop both my game and academic skills further at FPU as well as expand my knowledge of basketball through a different style of play.”
He touched on how important representing his country is and how he hopes to inspire the next generation.
“I’ve always been proud to represent Scotland wherever I’m playing, it means a lot for me to help basketball in Scotland get recognition and respect. I hope I can play a part in leading and inspiring young Scottish players to fulfil their potential.”
“I want to thank all of my coaches, especially at City of Edinburgh Basketball Club and more recently at Barking Abbey. Also to my very supportive family, both have helped me to get to where I am today!”
We want to wish Alex all the success at Fresno Pacific.
