Last years #6 ranked and Derby Trailblazer product Brian Amabilino-Perez has signed for a prep year at Avon Old Farms School for the 2017-18 season.

The 6ft 7″ Wing comes off a very productive year in the EABL and NBL D1 posting season stats of 13.2 PPG, 6.4 RPG and 3.0 APG. The athletic and versatile player will join Avon for a prep year for more exposure to help gain a NCAA collegiate scholarship.

“After two great years with the Derby Trailblazers I am moving to the US to study and play at Avon Old Farms School. After moving from Barcelona everyone was very welcoming and I have enjoyed a lot paying for the D1, EABL and u18 teams and being a part of the club. 

“Going to the US will be a challenging step and I am really excited for it and I’ll remember the great time and people at Derby.”

Amabilino-Perez finished by thanking all those that have helped him.
