Jordanas Mejeras receives the annual Joe White Award for his exceptional coaching work at this year’s DENGTOP50.

The coaching award signifies an individual who went beyond expectations during the camp by demonstrating an extreme high level of teaching, work ethic, passion echoing the legendary Coach Joe White.

Joe White (RIP: 8/12/02) is still very much the backbone of UK basketball being known as one of the best junior coaches to ever grace this country. He was more than a coach, known to many as a father figure who helped so many on and off the basketball court. Joe is still very much today regarded as the most influential figure within UK basketball where many players say they know he is still looking over them. At DENG Camp we want to ensure his legacy is still very much alive through this award.

Mejeras who learnt his trade in Lithuania worked alongside USA U17 Men Coach Don Showalter for the 3-days who was very impressed with his knowledge, positive attitude and work ethic throughout the camp.

“Coach Mejeras is a great teacher of the game where he holds high expectations of players which is so important. It was an absolute pleasure to work with him and look forward to hearing great things from his youth team in the UK.”

We want to congratulate Jordanas for receiving this award in honour of a truly great man of the game.
